The prime example for a flat module is probably the field of fractions of a commutative domain. The flatness persists when we switch to group rings with coefficients in the commutative domain or field of fractions respectively. In this talk we will explore how we can extend these properties from group rings to Novikov rings despite the latters' infinite nature.
